LPHOA Policy on Skylights

The Board requires that owners use the LPHOA-approved skylight installer. Typically, the Board/Management Company receives notice that a roof is leaking, and a broken skylight is suspected, which can mean a few things. Sometimes the plastic bubble is broken, or the frame needs replacement, or the cowling around the skylight hole requires repair, or all of the above.

When the Board-approved skylight/roofing expert repairs the problem, the owner is assured that all necessary repairs will be performed, and that any necessary roof infrastructure repairs will continue to be HOA-covered, and that any future roof leaks attributable to surrounding roofing infrastructure, will be HOA-covered.

In this scenario, the owner is only responsible for the cost of damaged skylight hardware requiring replacement.
